In a July 29 morning interview, Mr. Hua Duc Minh, Chairman of Me Tri Ward People’s Committee, confirmed a suspected COVID-19 case living in alley 230/26 Me Tri Thuong.
Mr. Minh said the ward’s People’s Committee is conducting an epidemiological investigation with preliminary results available. Authorities have locked down alley 230/26 Me Tri Thuong where the suspected case resides.
According to Mr. Minh, the man recently returned from Da Nang.
Deputy Director of Hanoi CDC, Khong Minh Tuan, told Tien Phong they are awaiting test results for a patient with cough and fever who recently traveled from Da Nang. The patient went directly to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for examination. “We are currently waiting for the hospital’s test results,” Mr. Tuan said.
On the morning of July 29, authorities sealed off the area around alley 230/26 Me Tri Thuong where the suspected COVID-19 case lives.
