Once YouTubers reach a certain level of fame, it’s usually easier for them to expand into side projects.
Iris, a beautiful and popular YouTuber, followed a similar path to success. She even started her own company but recently got caught up in some unexpected drama. Just recently, Iris shocked her fans with a major personal crisis.
Specifically, the YouTuber publicly accused her former assistant Yumi of financial fraud.
Yumi worked as Iris’s assistant from 2018 to 2024, mainly handling assistant duties and customer service. But Iris never expected that during that time, Yumi repeatedly borrowed money from people around her, stole and embezzled Iris’s belongings, and committed fraud under Iris’s name. Once Iris found out, she quickly ended their working relationship.
Iris was visibly upset sharing that Yumi had worked for her for many years, was very trusted, and had been given a lot of authority. But things got worse when Iris asked Yumi to pay back the nearly 800 million VND (about $33,000) she had borrowed. Yumi reportedly flew into a rage, attacked Iris, and even choked her. Left with no choice, Iris made the story public and involved the authorities.
It’s really unfortunate for Iris. Despite her sweet and attractive appearance, she still has a huge fanbase, even as troubles keep popping up around her.
