On June 5, the Food Safety Department under the Ministry of Health reported receiving information from Ho Chi Minh City’s Food Safety Authority regarding inspections and verification of the production, business, and advertising activities of several weight loss products promoted by DJ Ngân 98 (X1000, X3 slimming pills (Super Detox X3), and X7 plus).
Initial checks revealed that distributors like Zubu Trading and Services Co., Ltd. and Ngân 98 Trading and Services Co., Ltd. have temporarily ceased operations, are no longer physically present at their registered addresses, and cannot be contacted. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City’s Food Safety Authority has not been able to confirm whether these products are still circulating on the market.
Right after receiving the report from Ho Chi Minh City’s Food Safety Authority, the Food Safety Department issued a request to the Domestic Market Management Department, local Market Management Sub-Departments, Departments of Health, Food Safety Authorities, Food Safety Management Boards, and local Food Hygiene and Safety Sub-Departments to urgently conduct inspections, market reviews, sample collections, and handle any violations related to these products according to regulations.
To protect consumers’ health and prevent food safety risks, the Food Safety Department advises the public not to buy or use products named X1000, X3 slimming pills (Super Detox X3), or X7 plus (manufactured by Nano Tesla High-Tech Pharmaceutical Production Co., Ltd., located in Dan Phuong Industrial Park, Dan Phuong District, Hanoi) while authorities complete their inspections and verifications.
Previously, according to Lao Động newspaper, the Food Safety Department stated that after reviewing the online public service software, only X7 plus is registered as a health supplement with the Department. Specifically, this product was declared and is the responsibility of ZUBU Trading and Services Co., Ltd., located at 154 Pham Van Chieu, Ward 9, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.
The product is manufactured by Nano Tesla High-Tech Pharmaceutical Production Co., Ltd., Dan Phuong Industrial Park, Dan Phuong Commune, Dan Phuong District, Hanoi, with registration number 5297/2021/ĐKSP dated June 14, 2021.
The Food Safety Department confirmed that it has not issued any advertising content approval certificates for the products mentioned above.
