Recently, the People’s Police Newspaper reported that the Security Investigation Agency of Tuyên Quang Province Police issued a decision to prosecute and arrest Vu Van Thin, born 1988, residing in Kha Son commune, Thai Nguyen province and Dinh Manh Dung, born 1989, residing in Hac Thanh ward, Thanh Hoa province on charges of distributing obscene materials.

According to the case file, since 2018, Vu Van Thin created multiple websites to upload pornographic and obscene clips, attracting a large number of visitors to generate advertising revenue.
During the illegal operation, Thin recruited several others to work with him, including Dinh Manh Dung.
Seeing how easy it was to make money, they expanded the number of websites and used advanced technology with sophisticated methods to increase profits and evade censorship by Vietnamese telecom providers.
By the time they were caught, Vu Van Thin had created, managed, and operated 287 websites, uploading over 21,000 pornographic clips, Dinh Manh Dung, besides working for Thin, also independently created and managed more than 100 websites with over 1,000 pornographic clips.

Tien Phong newspaper cited investigators saying this is a very serious crime. Distributing obscene materials not only violates the law but also harms social morals and customs. It poses significant risks, especially to children and teenagers, and may fuel other deviant behaviors, including child abuse.
Currently, the Security Investigation Agency of Tuyên Quang Province Police is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
