Fierce competition to attract viewers and earn income has pushed many streamers, especially women, to “cross the line” with shocking content.
The incident reveals how far some female streamers will go
Recently, the online community was stirred by news and images of two Russian female streamers reportedly engaging in sensitive, even 18+ behavior during a live broadcast in a public park.
Photos and videos circulating on social media show the two streamers pushing boundaries with skimpy outfits, provocative poses, and suggestive remarks. What’s more alarming is that these acts happened openly in front of thousands of viewers and were encouraged by some fans willing to donate money to see such content.
People at the park were stunned, with some curious about their earnings. The two streamers admitted they made about 2,000 rubles (around 600,000 VND) from the live stream. Though not a huge amount, they said they were “very satisfied” and didn’t see anything shameful about their steamy broadcast.
Throwing ethics and self-respect aside just for money
Their sole goal was to grab attention and get donations from viewers. This sparked outrage and heated debate, sounding a warning about the darker side of streaming and the twisted culture of donations.
Once the images spread, the online reaction was intense and mixed. Most expressed shock, disappointment, and anger at the streamers’ behavior. Many said this showed a serious moral decline and tarnished the image of streaming, which already faces plenty of stigma.
