In recent years, TikTok’s explosive growth has created a space where anyone can become famous. But the fast-paced entertainment environment, which sometimes encourages grabbing views at any cost, has led to some reckless content.
Recently, a female TikToker who creates content about primary school teaching has become the center of harsh criticism. Online communities accuse her of producing offensive content, over-the-top flirtatious behavior, and worse, damaging the noble image of the teaching profession.

“Teacher Idol” Sparks Controversy
At first, teachers appearing on TikTok were welcomed positively. They brought the image of dynamic, modern Gen Z educators using social media to share creative teaching methods, interesting knowledge, or simply everyday moments that connect with students. This helped bridge the generation gap and made teaching more appealing.
However, as fame and pressure to get views grew, some, including TikToker C.G.Q, shifted toward highlighting sensual aspects, overly flirtatious actions, and controversial content to attract massive audiences. The goal was no longer just education but becoming a “Teacher Idol” on social media, where engagement mattered more than pedagogy.

Specifically, the controversial content involves videos where she wears modest outfits but makes suggestive gestures and overly coquettish expressions while preparing for teaching.
Offensive Behavior Disrupts Learning Environment
Teaching is about imparting knowledge and shaping young minds. Teachers are role models for lifestyle, behavior, and dignity. Content seen as “offensive” on social media, especially sexually suggestive or exaggerated behavior, not only annoys adults but negatively impacts students’ thinking and awareness, those who directly interact with the teacher.

Many believe that chasing the “hot girl” or “idol” image with easygoing videos unintentionally overshadows the teacher’s core role and diminishes the profession’s respect.
The online outrage stems from behavior that crosses ethical boundaries expected in education. Viewers, especially parents and genuine educators, feel the noble teaching image is being distorted and exploited for views and money on social media.

The harshest comments focus on her “lack of necessary seriousness” and “failure to maintain the image” expected of someone in front of the classroom. People worry that if this trend continues, traditional values and respect for teachers will erode.
The “Teacher Idol” might be a passing trend, but the damage to the teaching profession’s image could last much longer!
