A recent livestream drama is grabbing attention after a popular female streamer suddenly announced she might quit because viewers stopped sending gifts.
Ironically, this comment sparked a major crisis for her, with loyal fans turning against her and exposing her.

The main figure is Xiao Yueguang, a streamer known mainly for dance content.
With her striking looks, sexy figure, and strong dance skills, Xiao Yueguang was once a fan favorite with a loyal viewer base. Many male fans often spent big on virtual gifts to support her, earning nicknames like “big boss” or “online husband” from the community.
However, in a recent livestream, Xiao Yueguang complained that gift donations had dropped sharply. She openly said the top donor who used to give a lot now only supports about a tenth of what they used to. She said this made her feel neglected and even consider quitting because she lost motivation.

What seemed like a heartfelt confession quickly ignited controversy. Many viewers accused Xiao Yueguang of being too materialistic, treating livestreaming as just a way to make money. Some argued she had plenty of viewers and shouldn’t expect everyone to spend money, especially since the relationship is just streamer to audience.
Things got worse when Xiao Yueguang reacted sharply to criticism. She claimed she didn’t really have any “big boss” supporters, and if she did, she wouldn’t be in this situation. This comment hit a nerve, making longtime big spenders feel unappreciated and betrayed.

During the livestream, some “big bosses” spoke out. One said they had given many valuable gifts but received minimal attention in return. Another loyal fan angrily shared that after donating dozens of times, when they asked her to buy a lemonade, she flatly refused. Xiao Yueguang defended herself by saying she had transferred money back to that fan, but the fan fired back, “I already put all that money back into your donation list.”
The livestream atmosphere quickly turned tense. The streamer accused fans of deliberately causing trouble and said she would ban anyone who criticized her. At one point, a supporter bluntly told her to quit streaming because her current attitude doesn’t fit the job. Surprisingly, Xiao Yueguang didn’t deny it and even said she planned to officially step away from streaming by June.

But the online community isn’t buying it. Many believe she’s threatening to quit to pressure fans or already plans to leave the platform to pursue a relationship with another “big boss.” Even though Xiao Yueguang claims the main reason is losing audience support and facing stigma, this case highlights the dark side of donation culture: when the line between support, expectations, and personal gain blurs, drama is almost guaranteed.
