If you’ve been around the Vietnamese YouTube scene since the early days, JVevermind is a name you definitely know. Alongside creators like Toan Shinoda, Huyme, and An Nguy, JVevermind helped lay the foundation for Vietnam’s vlog culture and YouTube community with videos that racked up millions of views and sparked plenty of youth conversations back then. But over time, his video uploads slowed down and eventually stopped altogether.

Then, toward the end of 2019, JVevermind surprised everyone by wiping all his old videos from his channel and launching a fresh new series called Cuối Tuần Mất Ngủ (Sleepless Weekend). This show takes a satirical news approach to hot social topics, echoing his old style but with a more mature vibe and a less youthful hosting tone.

Even though JVevermind’s recent vlogs are pulling in huge engagement and attracting loyal fans, they’ve also sparked plenty of debate. For example, in his video about stimulants, JVevermind mainly shared reasons why young people shouldn’t use them, based on information from Vietnamese news sites and social media. However, he didn’t dive deep into explaining the concept or the harmful effects, which left many viewers questioning and discussing his approach.
