GTA 6’s hype has reached unbelievable levels, with fans going to extreme lengths just to guess when Rockstar will release the next trailer.
Among countless theories floating around, one GTA 6 fan recently blew up social media by claiming they spent months studying astrology and the positions of planets in the solar system to predict the exact date of the new trailer. What’s more, this fan confidently insists they’ve nailed the answer.

Specifically, a Reddit user named JalapenoPoppers24 recently shared their research, leaving the GTA 6 community both amazed and amused by the sheer dedication.
According to them, they spent three months tracking astronomical data related to every major Rockstar Games trailer or announcement since 2007. Their analysis covered huge hits like Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption, and Red Dead Redemption 2. JalapenoPoppers24 studied the positions of planets in the solar system relative to Earth at the exact times Rockstar released trailers. From there, they searched for secret patterns Rockstar might have unknowingly repeated over the years.
It sounds like a joke, but the detailed stats they shared shocked the community. They found that Pluto was in Sagittarius 24 out of 26 times Rockstar dropped a big trailer. Neptune appeared in Pisces 19 times. Also, Mercury conjuncting the Sun showed up more often than random chance would suggest. The fan even created a scoring system for each day from May through late August 2026 based on how well the astronomy matched Rockstar’s past marketing history.

After months of analysis, JalapenoPoppers24 confidently concluded that the third Grand Theft Auto VI trailer will drop on May 14, 2026. They say this date scored the highest in their research, earning 12 out of 16 points. The fan also believes the number 14 holds special meaning for Rockstar since the company previously moved the release date of GTA V’s second trailer to November 14, 2012. The post quickly went viral on Reddit and major gaming forums. Many were impressed by the fan community’s wild dedication, with some joking that Rockstar should hire this fan for their marketing team.
Of course, most gamers understand this is just a fun theory with no official confirmation from Rockstar. Still, it hasn’t stopped the community from buzzing with excitement.
In fact, this isn’t the first time GTA 6 fans have cooked up wild conspiracy theories to predict new trailers. Before the first trailer dropped, the community believed the moon phases in Rockstar’s promo images held secret codes revealing the release date.
After waiting over a year since the second trailer, excitement for Grand Theft Auto VI has hit an all-time high. So if Rockstar stays quiet for a few more weeks, fans will probably come up with even crazier ways to decode the next trailer’s release date.
