At the recent Wild Rift Showmatch, Team Vietnam dominated the competition without dropping a single game. Msuong and his teammates kept their undefeated streak throughout the two-day event. Even though their opponents had early access to League of Legends: Wild Rift, they couldn’t match the strength of the Vietnamese squad.
When the tournament started, Vietnam only had 26% of the audience’s support, but everyone quickly changed their minds after watching the five players deliver an outstanding performance. Highlights included Bé Chanh’s Akali, the dragon lane duo Milona and Misthy, and Đấng YM’s Leesin.
The only exception was Msuong on day one, who picked Yasuo and left his teammates saying something pretty bitter. After beating the Philippines in their first match, when the caster asked if Team Vietnam had any worries, everyone confidently replied, “We’re not afraid of anything.”
But after a brief pause, everyone agreed on one thing: “The scariest is Msuong on Yasuo.” While he wasn’t the star player in the first game, Msuong’s Yasuo pulled off some flashy moves that made his teammates nervous. On day two, he even dove all the way into the enemy’s base to start a fight.
The result? Yasuo “Msuong” got taken down by a turret. Of course, this was just an accident. Overall, the former Arena of Valor pro showed excellent form and helped secure Vietnam’s flawless victory. This win solidifies Vietnam’s position as a Wild Rift powerhouse in Southeast Asia and sets them up perfectly for future success.
The League of Legends: Wild Rift Showmatch – Penta Boom was organized by IO Esports and featured eight teams from Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Each country’s team included five standout and charismatic players competing against each other in the region.
