At CES 2021, Asus introduced two new ZenBook Duo laptops with dual screens. The 15-inch model will launch in April, while the 14-inch version, priced at $999.99, is available for pre-order now. Asus also revealed a new VivoBook and ExpertBook, designed for those who prefer compact designs.
Asus’s ZenBook Duo lineup features a unique dual-screen design, with a main display and a secondary ScreenPad Plus integrated above the keyboard. Some software, like Adobe apps, offer special support for the ScreenPad Plus interface. Otherwise, you can keep chat windows, Facebook, or Telegram open on the secondary screen to stay focused while working.
The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED features a 15.6-inch main screen and is an upgraded OLED version of the ZenBook Pro Duo 15. The 14-inch model is an upgraded version of last year’s ZenBook Duo 14. Both come with Intel Evo certification, ensuring strong performance, long battery life, and other premium features.
The two new ZenBook Duo models differ in specs. The Pro Duo 15 OLED is powered by 10th-gen Intel processors (up to Core i9) and the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. The ZenBook Duo 14 uses 11th-gen Intel chips (Core i7 or Core i5) with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.
One cool upgrade on both new ZenBook Duos is the ScreenPad Plus can now be lifted up instead of lying flat on the keyboard. This means users no longer have to look down awkwardly at the secondary screen, a major improvement over previous models.
Asus also improved software support to better integrate with the ScreenPad Plus, especially for multitasking across multiple apps.
Besides the new ZenBook Duos, Asus launched the VivoBook S14, which they say is their lightest VivoBook ever at just 1.3kg. It features 11th-gen Intel processors with Iris Xe graphics and boasts an impressive battery life of up to 17 hours.
Asus also introduced the ExpertBook B9, an incredibly light 14-inch business laptop weighing just 0.8kg. It’s powered by 11th-gen Intel processors and includes features for online meetings like two-way noise cancellation, Harman Kardon speakers, and Wi-Fi 6 support.
