But starting in early 2020, members began stepping back from their pro gaming careers to chase new goals. On their personal pages, the players revealed the team wasn’t disbanding but shifting direction, hoping fans would continue to support them.
Indeed, each member’s next moves kept winning fan support. Everyone achieved impressive milestones and breakthroughs.
Độ Mixi
Beyond gaming streams, Độ Mixi runs a personal YouTube channel where he shares slices of life with fans. His channel now boasts nearly 4.5 million subscribers, a dream figure that many admire.
To add, Độ Mixi’s real name is Phùng Thanh Độ, and he mainly lives and works in Hanoi. After years of hard work, last year he bought a seven-story house for himself. This new home will also welcome his mother and sister.
Độ Mixi is one of the most successful streamers right now. Rumors say he earns hundreds of millions of dong monthly, which makes sense given his relentless effort. He also quietly donates to charity without any fuss.
2020 was a big year for the “Tày tribe leader,” who achieved many unexpected successes across projects. At year’s end, he scored two YouTube awards: top 10 standout creators of 2020 and his music video “Stream Đến Bao Giờ” ranked in the top 10 music videos of the year.
Độ Mixi said this was the first year he was honored by YouTube as a top 10 creator, which makes sense since his views quadrupled compared to 2019.
His MixiGaming YouTube channel hit 4.4 million subscribers and over 1.1 billion views. The “Stream Đến Bao Giờ” MV also broke records with 24 million views in 3 months. Its premiere drew over 281,000 live viewers, smashing his previous concurrent viewership record.
All in all, Độ Mixi’s 2020 was beyond expectations. His influence extends far beyond YouTube. He thanked fans for their support and promised an even bigger 2021.
QNT and Refund Band Drop MV “Say Em”
In late October 2020, QNT teamed up with Độ Mixi and Refund Band to release the MV “Say Em.” Within 18 hours, it racked up over 600,000 views and 100,000 likes. The MV sparked over 6,000 comments and landed in YouTube’s top 20 trending. It featured familiar streamer faces including Độ Mixi, Rambo, DjChip, Nhism, and FunkyM.
This comeback felt like QNT’s personal story, playing a streamer passionate about music caught in a complicated romance with a beautiful, high-class girl. With catchy vocals and addictive lyrics, “Say Em” is a chill track that grabbed lots of attention.
Rambo Builds His Dream Home
Rambo, real name Lâm Đình Khoa, is the top PUBG streamer, earning tons of love from fans.
Known for his hilarious style, handsome looks, and spot-on Stephen Chow impressions, fans affectionately call him “Châu Tinh Bô.” His streams always bring laughs and entertainment to young viewers.
Last year, Rambo fulfilled a dream by building a huge house in his hometown of Cao Lãnh, Đồng Tháp as a precious gift for his hardworking mother. The mansion-like home amazed the online community and fellow streamers. Even Bụt visited early and estimated the house’s value at 5 billion dong, much higher than the 2 billion Rambo told fans.
The whole Refund team plans to visit Đồng Tháp in March or April this year.
Other Refund members like DjChip, Nhism, Snake, and QNT are also familiar names on streaming platforms, steadily building their reputations in the gaming scene.
