Lately, the name Hiếu PC has been grabbing a lot of attention on social media. His real name is Ngô Minh Hiếu, a once notorious hacker who now works at the National Cybersecurity Monitoring Center. But all this spotlight has brought plenty of headaches. Recently, many fake accounts and groups pretending to be him have popped up, mostly to scam or mislead people curious about tech.
Although he has taken down some fake websites impersonating him before, the flood of fake social media accounts and fanpages has clearly been a real headache. Recently, he gave the internet a good laugh by using a super DIY but surprisingly effective method to fight back. He covered his avatar and photos on his personal page with logos all over the place.
Besides slapping logos everywhere, Hiếu PC also made a careful warning post on his page, clarifying that he’s currently focused on work and has no plans to offer courses or tech services.
His post quickly caught the attention of fans and the online community, racking up nearly 20,000 likes and shares. Many agreed that his move was necessary given the flood of fake accounts. Others found it hilarious that a tech expert resorted to such a low-tech, manual fix. Some even suggested he apply for official verification to avoid confusion.
