Luong Chinh and his close friends recently opened Aka Gaming in Hanoi, featuring over 100 mid-to-high-end gaming PCs. Interestingly, the cafe’s shareholders are all young people who share a passion for gaming.

Luong Chinh, whose full name is Luong Van Chinh, was born in 1996 in Son La. Although his family has a medical background, he has loved business since he was young and openly aims to be a boss. Aka Gaming is his biggest and boldest decision so far. Many people assume that since he’s young and owns a large gaming cafe, his family must be wealthy.

Luong Chinh openly shares that Aka Gaming is a passion project with his friends but also received significant support from his family, especially financially. When asked why he chose to open a gaming cafe, he said he wanted to find a unique path with less competition than other industries.

Luong Chinh got interested in gaming back in school. He and his friends often went to internet cafes but felt uncomfortable with the smell of smoke, dirty chairs, blurry screens, and laggy gameplay. That’s when the idea of a “quiet,” clean, and powerful gaming cafe first came to him.

Thanks to good business luck, Aka Gaming quickly attracted many customers right after opening. The daily crowd is steady and nearly fills all the machines. This success boosts his confidence that his business choice is right and will lead to bigger breakthroughs.

Luong Chinh explains that the new gaming cafe offers a spacious, airy location divided into regular gaming rooms, VIP rooms, and a streaming room. There’s even a VIP smoking area and private or double rooms for customers who want more privacy.
He reveals that he and his friends invested over 4 billion VND (about $175,000) into this cybercafe. Talking about the risks of opening a gaming center amid the complicated Covid-19 situation, the 9x says there are risks but also many opportunities to seize.

“The first advantage for startups during Covid is that rental prices are much lower than before. If you have enough capital, you can sign a 2-3 year lease and once the tough times pass, the profits will make up for it.
The second advantage is that opening a cybercafe now makes you a ‘golden’ customer for Gamezone. Discounts and design support will be offered at the best level possible. Difficulties will pass, and after the storm, the sun will shine again. When the pandemic ends, you’ll already have a solid business foundation to grow from,” Luong Chinh shares.
To celebrate the grand opening, Aka Gaming is offering promotions like free playtime and lucky draw prizes.
