Since January 25, the Ministry of Health has recorded 149 cases across five provinces and cities: Hai Duong (130 cases), Quang Ninh (15 cases), Hanoi (2 cases), and Hai Phong (1 case).
As of noon on January 29, Hai Duong has 130 cases, including 126 linked to POYUN Co., Ltd and 4 cases at Chi Linh Medical Center.
By the morning of January 29, Hai Duong had collected a total of 4,890 test samples. Specifically, 1,936 samples from POYUN Company, 1,598 from other companies in the industrial zone, 964 from Kim Dien village, and 392 from Chi Linh Medical Center.

In Quang Ninh, as of the morning of January 29, there are 15 confirmed cases, all linked to patient 1552. No cases have been linked to eight residents of Dong Trieu working at POYUN Company in Hai Duong who tested positive. So far, all 149 close contacts have tested negative.
Regarding the Van Don airport outbreak, Quang Ninh has identified 851 cases, including 466 F1, 382 F2, and 2 F3 contacts.
For the Chi Linh cluster, 99 cases have been identified, with 43 F1 and 56 F2 contacts.
In Hai Phong, a mother and child returning from Hai Duong were quarantined for three days. The child showed symptoms and was treated at the Children’s Hospital. Both were tested three times, the child tested positive while the mother tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.
In Hanoi, two new cases were confirmed on the morning of January 29. The first is a 54-year-old woman from Time City, Vinh Tuy, Hai Ba Trung district, who had contact with patient BN1553. The second is a 20-year-old man from Chi Linh studying foreign languages in Hanoi, living in Nguyen Khanh Toan, Quan Hoa ward, Cau Giay district.
All 93 close contacts of these two cases have been tested and are awaiting results. Additionally, Hanoi reported another case, patient BN1569, previously confirmed positive by Quang Ninh CDC, residing in Hang Gai ward, Hoan Kiem district. All close contacts of this patient have tested negative so far.
In Bac Ninh, one case was recorded on the morning of January 29, the daughter of patient 1565. So far, 33 F1 and 52 F2 contacts have been identified and tested, awaiting results.
Most cases in Hai Duong are concentrated at POYUN Co., Ltd, with no new community cases reported in Chi Linh.
Cases in other provinces (Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong) are linked to the Hai Duong outbreak.
Cases in Quang Ninh are only related to the Van Don cluster.
