COVID-19 Cases in Vietnam:
– As of 6 AM on 02/04: Vietnam has a total of 1,059 domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases, with 366 new cases recorded since January 27.
– From 6 PM on 02/03 to 6 AM on 02/04: 37 new cases, all community transmissions, with zero imported cases quarantined on arrival.
New Cases Details: 37 NEW CASES (BN1912-BN1948) are community transmissions in Hải Dương. Specifically:
– Hải Dương province reports 37 patients (BN1912-BN1948), all factory workers from the industrial zone in Chí Linh city, Hải Dương. They were already quarantined and pose no risk of spreading the virus to the community. Their first tests on January 28 came back negative for SARS-CoV-2.
On February 3, the second round of testing confirmed all 37 patients tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Quarantine Numbers: Total close contacts and arrivals from affected areas under health monitoring (quarantine): 48,829, including:
– Hospital quarantine: 378
– Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 22,610
– Home or residence quarantine: 25,841
Treatment Update: According to the National COVID-19 Task Force Treatment Subcommittee:
So far, Vietnam has successfully treated 1,461 COVID-19 patients.
Among patients currently in medical care, 3 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 7 have tested negative twice, and 2 have tested negative three times.
The most severe case is patient BN1536, currently treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital. This patient is elderly with a history of hypertension and diabetes.
Since admission on January 15, the Treatment Subcommittee and National Expert Council have held four consultations on the patient’s condition, instructing Da Nang Lung Hospital to closely monitor the case. Experienced ICU doctors and nurses from Da Nang Hospital have been assigned to support treatment.
The total COVID-19 death toll in Vietnam remains at 35, all patients with serious underlying health conditions, including 31 in Da Nang, 3 in Quang Nam, and 1 in Quang Tri.
