Lately, ViruSs has been getting a lot of attention, especially after he got involved in a new controversy with rapper Binh Gold. The issue started with ViruSs’s comment on Son Tung M-TP’s rap skills in the Skyler music video. Not Impressed by Son Tung M-TP’s Rap Skills
“I’ve never really rated Son Tung’s rap skills highly. He focuses more on singing, songwriting, and business. His investment in rap is clearly minimal. His rhyme and flow have stayed the same all along. As a Vietnamese listener, I was hoping for more melodic rap. His singing voice is much more captivating when he sings melody. There’s too much English and rap in the MV, but I don’t think his rap skills stand out.” This comment is probably why ViruSs has become a hot topic on social media and recently clashed with Binh Gold.
Even though ViruSs was the MC at the Skyler project launch, his reaction to the MV was brutally honest about Son Tung M-TP’s rap.
Thinks Chi Pu Needs to Improve More
When reacting to Chi Pu’s MV Cung Đàn Vỡ Đôi, ViruSs sparked debate by saying the MV was great, with beautiful acting and filming, but Chi Pu’s singing wasn’t quite there yet. He even suggested the song could be better if performed by someone else.
ViruSs also said Chi Pu’s song interpretation still needs work, though she has improved compared to her previous releases. He advised her to spend more time and effort honing her craft.
Criticizes the Arrangement of “Hoa Nở Không Màu”
This might be one of ViruSs’s most controversial statements. While praising the singer’s voice and the song itself, he felt the arrangement of “Hoa Nở Không Màu” was outdated. He even said if given the chance, he could remix it to sound fresher and better.
Points Out Weaknesses in Hòa Minzy’s Vocals
In the MV Không Thể Cùng Nhau Suốt Kiếp, ViruSs praised the work but also pointed out that Hòa Minzy’s voice was weak in some parts and didn’t quite fit the song by Mr Siro.
Bluntly Criticizes Phí Phương Anh’s Song
This is probably one of ViruSs’s most talked-about reactions. He said the song disrespects the audience, lacks value, and the lyrics are problematic. He added that because of his professional ethics as a music creator, he couldn’t support a work like that.
