To prove just how unpredictable he can be, he recently dropped a shocking video where he transformed into a real-life “Santa” and handed out more than 150 million VND (about $6,500) to random strangers on the street.
Right at the start of the clip, NTN wowed everyone by revealing a mysterious box containing lucky draw tickets. As he explained, the box held one 20 million VND ticket, three 15 million VND tickets, five 10 million VND tickets, ten 5 million VND tickets, and one ticket worth zero. Doing the math, the total cash he planned to give away added up to 165 million VND, which is no small amount for anyone.
NTN’s plan to give money to strangers was pretty straightforward. He went into a shopping mall, picked a random store, and invited a lucky customer to draw a ticket. But there was a catch: the lucky winner had only five minutes to spend their 10 million VND prize inside the store. The twist was that they could actually spend up to 10.5 million VND, slightly more than the ticket’s face value.
After several lucky strangers took their turns drawing tickets, NTN reserved two special spots for the people filming his video. But by the end, he revealed the real total. Instead of the planned 165 million VND, the actual amount he spent was just over 37 million VND. This was likely because not many people drew tickets, and none hit the top 20 million VND prize.
At the end of the video, the YouTuber proudly said it was a great day because he brought happiness to others. This isn’t the first time NTN has spent money in a flashy way. Previously, he spent over 30 million VND on taxis for a cross-country trip, and more recently, he hosted a hide-and-seek challenge worth 50 million VND.
