Recently, China’s online community has been buzzing over a billionaire family in Zhejiang province searching for a husband for their daughter. The wealthy dad made an eye-catching offer to the future son-in-law that set social media abuzz.
According to ETToday’s March 16 report, since their daughter is 26 and still single, the billionaire couple printed and distributed “husband wanted” notices around their neighborhood, hoping to find a suitable match.
The notice read: “My daughter is 26 years old, not very talkative. The future son-in-law will take care of my daughter and us, the elderly parents. The dowry includes a monthly living allowance of 20,000 yuan (about 71 million VND), plus 2 houses and a British Range Rover supercar.”

The “husband wanted” notice from a billionaire family in Zhejiang province, China.
The parents also included contact details on the notice. They mentioned that interested applicants must first pay a 10,000 yuan (about 35.5 million VND) fee for transportation. They stressed that only serious candidates should apply.
Once the news spread on social media, it caused a huge stir. However, many doubted the authenticity of the story, questioning why marriage was necessary if the main goal was just to find someone to care for the daughter and elderly parents. They suggested hiring a caregiver would make more sense.
The story continues to spark lively debate online.
