Apple’s new accessory, AirTag, has been stirring up buzz on social media lately, and now fans think they’ve uncovered its inspiration.
Recently, a viral post compared Apple’s AirTag to the tracking device used by Conan in the famous manga Detective Conan. At first glance, they look remarkably alike.

Both gadgets share a flat, round design. While AirTag uses the Find My app on iPhone for tracking, Conan’s device seems more advanced, featuring solar-powered batteries, glasses-based tracking, and a much wider range.

While it’s unclear if Apple actually drew inspiration from Conan’s device, the resemblance has sparked plenty of chatter online.

– Looks like AirTag’s design is a big fan of Conan.
– Apple should pay royalties to Conan’s creators.
– Haha, Conan’s been using this tech for 20 years, and now everyone else is catching up?
– Conan’s tracking range beats Apple’s by miles.
– Dr. Agasa should sue Apple!
