He often flaunts his wealth in videos, dropping jaw-dropping billion-VND figures that amaze viewers. Recently, he stirred up controversy again by sharing his personal tips on how to escape poverty.
He outlined three key factors for young people to get rich today:
1: Deep knowledge in a specialized field
2: Coming from a well-off family
3: Strong connections
Of course, if you have any one of these, you probably don’t need Khoa Pug’s advice. Anyone a bit smart could escape poverty, and if you have all three, well, that’s even better. But for those who don’t have any of these advantages, Khoa Pug surprised many by recommending young people to study IT and programming.
Khoa Pug’s reasoning makes sense since technology is booming and IT jobs pay very well, but require serious expertise that can’t be learned overnight. “Ten years ago, people had to go door to door to collect electricity and water bills, which was tough. Now everyone has a phone and can pay bills easily with an app. Who made that? Programmers like me. If you follow my advice and learn programming, you can build things like that,” he explained.
Khoa Pug also revealed he was a genuine IT guy who started making money playing the game VLTK back in 9th grade. He advised young people to avoid unrealistic majors like business administration and instead focus on programming. “Practice makes perfect. Keep coding and eventually you’ll get your big break, and there are plenty of opportunities,” he said.
Finally, he shared this advice: “Money talks! You can’t just ask someone, ‘Hey, how did you get rich? Teach me!’ No one will just hand it to you. You have to invest money, build relationships, and learn from successful and skilled people!”
