Thanks to the popularity and support from fans of the game Thần Trùng developed by DUT Studio, the mobile version created by Thành Nhựt, a big fan of “boss” Dũng, has also drawn a lot of attention recently.
Alongside praise for his talent, some netizens have criticized the project harshly, accusing it of violating copyright and undermining the original creators’ intellectual property.
The strong and sometimes harsh feedback made the young gamer worried, prompting him to quickly post a heartfelt clarification.
“Hello everyone in the Cter community, first of all, I sincerely apologize for the unexpected mixed reactions recently. I am the creator of the mobile version video of Thần Trùng.
I want to clarify that this is a completely fanmade version. Since my area is still under lockdown and I couldn’t buy a laptop to experience the game alongside other Cters, I created a 3D map similar to Thần Trùng for my own enjoyment. I shared the video in fan groups and the official group, but the post in the official group has not been approved yet.”
The young gamer also emphasized that he fully respects copyright and did not upload any version to app stores, sharing only the video to engage with the community.
“Some people on TikTok asked for links or data files to try it out, but I can’t provide them because I haven’t been given permission and the fanmade version still has many bugs. Some have negative assumptions and think this is a cracked version, but I assure you it is not. If it were cracked, you would be able to play the game already. Charging fees for this version is impossible. I hope everyone reconsiders and doesn’t misunderstand.”
The creator of Thần Trùng Mobile expressed his worry and fear after reading the negative comments. In the end, he apologized to the original creators of the game: “I realize my mistake was posting without permission from the DUT STUDIO management. I wrote this without much thought, so please forgive any mistakes. I hope everyone understands.”
Under his message, Dũng CT himself reassured fans, saying: “Everyone was just having fun, but people are making it a bigger deal than it is. No problem at all!” This encouraging comment from the “boss” surely eased the young gamer’s worries during this tense time.
Creating the mobile version was a memorable project for Thành Nhựt during lockdown, but being targeted by negative comments is also a tough experience for the young gamer.
