When it comes to the nickname “the king of persistence,” Vietnamese netizens immediately think of the legendary piracy site phimmoi, known for its massive following and reach. Despite countless investigations and crackdowns over copyright violations, phimmoi has survived through some impressive comebacks. From switching domain names to phimmoiz, phimmoizz, then phimmoizzz, this “king of persistence” kept proving its resilience, much to the frustration of the online community.

However, after many domain tweaks adding a “z” at the end, the internet recently witnessed phimmoi’s latest return. After changing its name to phimmoiplus but still facing shutdowns, now searching “phimmoi” on Google brings up over 15 million results. Many say phimmoi is back with a new look and a fresh domain called phimchill.

The endless attempts by phimmoi to come back have started to wear out the community’s patience. Instead of excitement, many are now annoyed by the piracy site’s relentless persistence, especially as copyright issues become a bigger problem across industries.
Still, it’s clear that without viewer support, phimmoi wouldn’t have lasted this long. Not long ago, an advertising rate card for phimmoi leaked online showing banner ads could cost up to 200 million VND per week at the highest rate, while the lowest was still around 15 million VND per week.

Additionally, another site called Mphimmoitv is suspected to be another reincarnation of phimmoi. It’s unclear which version is the real phimmoi, but many definitely disapprove of how these piracy sites operate. Despite all this, phimmoi is still praised by many for how quickly it updates new movies.
