Recently, a Reddit user named u/anonomouscoconut shared a funny story about how he got visited by police while pulling for the character Tartaglia. For those who don’t know, Tartaglia is also known as Childe. Players on the North American and European servers often call him Childe because it’s shorter and easier to remember.
The main character of this story was really eager to get Tartaglia and had saved up a lot of Primogems to pull on his banner. When the Tartaglia banner finally appeared, he got super excited and loudly prayed, saying “Give me my Childe” or “Please give me Childe.”
However, when said out loud, “Childe” sounds almost identical to “child.” So his neighbors overheard him shouting “Give me my child” and got worried that there might be a family conflict or even violence happening. Concerned, they called the police, who came by and took him in for questioning.
Luckily, the player wasn’t held for long after explaining he was just asking for the character Childe and there was no trouble at all. Still, u/anonomouscoconut wasn’t exactly happy since he never managed to get Tartaglia in the end.
After the story went viral on Reddit, many people couldn’t stop laughing. Others advised the player to close his windows and add soundproofing to avoid any more awkward situations like this.
