Not long ago, Oh Geung-jeong planned a trip to Jeju Island with friends and booked a decent room. Fans were excited since this gave them a chance to travel virtually with her through the livestream. The stream went smoothly as she visited various restaurants and tourist spots around Jeju. Everything seemed fine until she returned to her room and fell asleep with the livestream camera still rolling. That’s when the unexpected happened.
A stranger entered the room and saw the streamer and her friend sleeping. Luckily, noticing the live camera, he didn’t do anything extreme but quietly stood at a distance, even pulling out his phone as if to record. Fans watching tried to wake her by spamming donations, but exhausted from a busy day, Geung-jeong remained unaware of the man’s presence.
It wasn’t until the next morning, after waking up to a flood of messages from viewers, that Geung-jeong realized what had happened. She immediately reviewed the stream footage and was horrified. Her group went straight to the police to report it, but unfortunately, CCTV footage didn’t capture a clear view of the intruder’s face. The man is believed to have entered through an unlocked back door. A suspect was arrested but claimed to have no memory of the event due to being drunk.
After the incident, Oh Geung-jeong quickly left Jeju Island and told her viewers this was the scariest experience of her career. Thankfully, she didn’t lose anything.
