According to The Sun, a scandal unfolded at a Russian high school. A 23-year-old teacher named Viktoria Kashirina was fired after a provocative video of her was discovered and shared among students and parents.
In the sensitive Instagram clip, the teacher can be seen wearing only sexy lingerie and performing suggestive moves. The trouble began when a parent complained, saying the teacher shouldn’t be posting adult content on her social media. “My daughter saw the video, and it clearly left an impression on her, but not as a teacher,” the parent criticized.
However, faced with criticism from parents, the teacher refused to admit any fault. She said she would block students on social media and urged parents to monitor what their kids watch online. “I’ve been pole dancing for years and have wanted to film videos for a long time. Of course, this isn’t something students should watch. But when this student’s mother demanded I delete my account, I told her I’m not obligated to do that. Instead, I will block both of them,” she explained.
However, the school principal quickly sent a letter demanding the video be removed as it was being widely shared among concerned parents. Viktoria, who graduated top of her class from Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, was accused by the school of “posting pornographic content” and was dismissed.
“She caused an uproar, and we had to respond. I have two children myself and understand how the parents feel. If she wants freedom and to express herself as an erotic dancer, we also have the right not to support that path,” the school’s dismissal notice stated.
The case continues to stir debate online. Viktoria Kashirina said she plans to sue the school, arguing there were no rules restricting teachers’ social media use in her contract. She insists the firing infringes on her freedom and private life.
