But the surprising detail that caught fans’ attention was the office chair, which looked extremely worn out. Vuong Pham explained that his company uses chairs until the leather is completely torn before reupholstering them with new leather.

But that’s not all. The office desk is also secondhand, and the $10,000 computers have plastic parts that are cracked. Even the employees’ headphones are worn out, with peeling leather and cracked plastic.
Vuong Pham believes this is how small savings add up: “Like Benjamin Franklin (one of the founding fathers of the US, featured on the dollar bill) said, ‘A penny saved is a penny earned.’ Saving even one cent is like earning one cent.”
