The saying “born to die by your craft” fits many situations, but few would expect it to apply to a YouTuber, a job often seen as safe and easy. Recently, Tor Echkoff, a well-known Norwegian YouTuber with over 1.2 million followers, tragically passed away while filming a new video. Even more heartbreaking, the accident happened just five days after he celebrated his 57th birthday.
For those unfamiliar, Tor Echkoff was famous for his extreme challenge and adventure videos. Fans admired his bravery and incredible spirit. From jumping into real fire without acting to taking ice baths in freezing snow, Tor completed every stunt with impressive skill. Not long ago, he made a birthday video titled “I’m Still Alive at 57”. Sadly, that turned out to be the last birthday he celebrated.
Just five days after his birthday video, Tor suffered a fatal accident while filming. He fell into a dam, and although bystanders heard his screams and called emergency services, he sadly died en route to the hospital.
According to Tor’s wife, he was attempting to slide on a frozen dam for the video when the accident happened. Unfortunately, this time he couldn’t recover like before. The online community is deeply mourning his loss.
