For Rockstar fans, GTA 6 has long been a dream and a source of frustration. It’s been nearly 10 years since GTA V launched, and Rockstar has kept milking that game with no signs of stopping. They’ve teased “new” things many times, but all they’ve delivered to players are disappointments and letdowns.

Leaks and rumors about GTA 6 have flooded the internet so much that many gamers don’t even want to hear more. Rockstar’s usual response? Tease and then go silent. But recently, a well-known YouTuber and musician named Mason claimed he got hold of leaked confidential documents from Rockstar’s latest executive meeting. According to these, GTA Online news will drop on May 12, and GTA 6 will launch on May 16. To back up his claim, Mason even changed his profile picture to a GTA 6 image and shared the “secret” documents publicly.

Besides GTA 6, the leaked docs also reveal release dates for other big titles like NBA 2023, expected on September 16, 2022, and Mafia: Primordial, set for 2023 along with Red Dead Redemption: Gunslinger. But of course, the spotlight remains on GTA 6.

This source seems plausible since Take-Two is scheduled to hold a financial briefing on May 16, which could be when GTA 6 details are officially revealed. Earlier reports also claimed GTA 6 will use the RAGE9 engine, featuring cutting-edge graphics technology that’s ahead of its time.

However, unlike the media hype, gamers are pretty indifferent to this news. Understandably, many have been burned by false hopes before. The message from the community to Rockstar is simple: “Just release GTA 6 and stop teasing us.” Whether this leak is legit or not, we’ll have to wait until May 16 to find out.
