PUBG Mobile, the popular mobile battle royale game published by VNGGames, continues to be a major force in Vietnam’s esports scene. Its fourth consecutive appearance at Vietnam GameVerse 2026 thrilled gamers nationwide. The game also proudly competed in the inaugural SEA Esports Nations Cup, where it took home the Gold Medal in the Team event.
As one of 100 booths at Vietnam GameVerse 2026, the biggest gaming event in Vietnam, PUBG Mobile welcomed tens of thousands of fans over two days from May 8 to 9 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. With eager crowds lining up early each day, the PUBG Mobile booth quickly became the event’s hotspot, featuring a design that honored the game’s original spirit. After checking in, players could dive into a variety of challenges like the Shooting Range and WOW Mode. Over 10,000 giveaways were handed out, keeping the booth packed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Iconic outfits like the Mummy, Bloodthirsty Armor, and Love Goddess Armor brought the PUBG battlefield to life. Popular PUBG Mobile streamers such as Ngan Sat Thu, Ms Three, and Chin Gamer made appearances, giving fans a chance to interact with their favorite personalities.
Beyond the lively booth, PUBG Mobile left a strong mark in esports. At the Vietnam Game Awards ceremony on the evening of May 8, held during GameVerse 2026, the game earned the prestigious “Vietnam Esports Achievement Award.” This honor recognizes PUBG Mobile and VNGGames’ ongoing dedication to developing Vietnam’s esports industry over the years.

What started as a casual game has grown into a strategic esports title thanks to VNGGames’ investment. PUBG Mobile has helped Vietnam rack up impressive results at major events, including five medals across SEA Games 31 and 32. Since 2025, VNGGames has partnered with the Vietnam Esports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA) to build a National Championship system for PUBG Mobile, expanding competitive opportunities and boosting esports culture nationwide.

Another highlight was PUBG Mobile’s role as the opening game and medal event at the SEA Esports Nations Cup 2026, the first-ever Southeast Asian national team esports tournament. With the highest number of countries registered, PUBG Mobile delivered intense matches featuring 20 athletes competing in Individual and Team categories at SECC.
In the end, Vietnamese players Phan Van Dong (Levis) and Nguyen Anh Quan (Win) clinched the Gold Medal in the PUBG Mobile Team event, marking the highest achievement for Vietnam’s esports squad at the SEA Esports Nations Cup 2026. This helped Vietnam secure second place overall with 390 points, showcasing the skill and resilience of the PUBG Mobile community. The thousands of fans enjoying the booth, enthusiastically joining activities, and cheering on players proved PUBG Mobile’s strong presence in Vietnam’s gaming market.
