A few days ago, someone online shared photos of a friend’s room that shocked a lot of people.
The owner of the room isn’t poor, homeless, or living in a slum. In fact, he’s extremely wealthy. But the state of this room couldn’t be more different from what you’d expect from someone with a fortune.

The pictures show a floor covered with food scraps, bottles, plastic bags, and leftover fruit. The floor and walls are coated in thick grime and stains, looking like they haven’t been cleaned in ages.

Next to it is a bed stacked with leftover food, plastic dishes, bottles, a hidden bug spray, and the cleanest corner with pillows, blankets, and a remote control nearby. That’s probably where the owner usually eats and watches TV.

The post’s author said there are even pets living in the chaos, including a chicken in the bedroom and a dead turtle in the kitchen. He insists someone actually lives here normally, and that person is very rich.

The owner reportedly has over 100 million yuan (around 340 billion VND) in the bank and owns multiple plots of land. The income from bank interest and real estate lets him live comfortably without working. The air conditioner is kept at 24 degrees all year round.
These photos and the poster’s comments left netizens stunned. The story quickly gained tens of thousands of likes and many comments.
“Rich people’s lives aren’t what we imagine.”
“This house is basically a chicken coop, the rich really have simple happiness.”
“Those three watermelons are the cleanest things in the room.”
“This is the emperor of beggars, living like a pauper despite the money.”
“In this case, having money doesn’t help at all.”
