According to the police, streamer Nguyễn Thị Thanh L. (also known as Milona, 26, from Hung Dao 2 village, An Vinh commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province) committed an administrative violation by “providing and sharing false information, distorting facts, slandering, and damaging the reputation of agencies, organizations, and individuals.”
The fine for this violation ranges from 5 to 10 million VND. However, her statements were considered seriously damaging to the reputation and image of senior Party and State leaders, causing public outrage due to discriminatory language. As a result, she was fined the maximum penalty of 10 million VND with no mitigating circumstances.
Earlier on August 25, a video circulated on social media showing Milona using insulting language toward a senior Party and State leader during a livestream.
Specifically, during a Facebook Gaming livestream, the once-popular League of Legends streamer drew attention by claiming that bald people watch too much adult content.
After reading a rude comment from a fan about bald people watching adult films, instead of ignoring it, she made inappropriate remarks about senior leaders live on stream.
Her insulting words quickly sparked strong backlash on social media, with many condemning her rude comments and calling for authorities to take action.
Following public criticism, she returned to her hometown in An Vinh commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province to avoid the “storm of public opinion” until summoned by the PA03 Internal Security Police Department of Thai Binh province along with other relevant units for investigation.
During the investigation, she sincerely admitted her violation and promised to correct her behavior and not repeat it.
