Almost at the same time, Razer and Logitech both launched mobile gaming devices aimed at cloud gaming. The main differences between the two come down to specs and price, key factors that will decide which device gamers choose.
Logitech G Cloud
The Logitech G Cloud runs on a customized Android platform tailored for its users. Its specs include a Snapdragon 720G processor, 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 64GB storage. However, gamers can expand storage with a MicroSD card.
The price of this device might make users hesitate, coming in at $350. Many feel this is too expensive for the specs offered. With these specs, the Logitech G Cloud may struggle to run high-demand mobile games smoothly.
Razer Edge
The recently announced Razer Edge is priced at $400, $50 more than Logitech’s device. But that price difference brings gamers a much more powerful device.
Specifically, the Razer Edge features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2400 x 1080 resolution. It’s powered by the new Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 processor paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, not 4GB LPDDR4X like the Logitech. Internal storage is 128GB, also expandable via memory card.
So just from a quick look at specs and price, it’s clear which device offers better value for gamers. The only edge Logitech G Cloud has is a $50 lower price, but that doesn’t outweigh what the Razer Edge brings to the table right now.
