Call of Duty Mobile Players Lose Millions as VNG Server Issues Drag On

Players who spent big on the game are now stuck and frustrated with no updates in sight.

As of today, VNG’s Call of Duty Mobile hasn’t received any new updates besides a “progress update at 80%” announced on March 29. This means players still have to wait for the top Vietnamese publisher to release the next patch for this blockbuster game. Although VNG found a workaround so players using Facebook accounts can still log in, many gamers report they can’t sync their data.

This has seriously shaken the community, especially those who spent large sums on the game and built up massive inventories. In several fan groups, players revealed they had spent significant amounts on the VNG servers of Call of Duty Mobile. Some spent just a few dozen thousand VND, others several million, and some even topped hundreds of millions.

With that much money invested, it’s no surprise these players have rare and powerful gear. So logging in only to find themselves back at level one with default weapons is unacceptable. Their frustration and anger are completely understandable.

Right now, many players are fleeing VNG servers to try the global servers instead. They don’t want to lose their progress or investments, they just want a stable place to enjoy their passion. Hopefully, VNG and its partners will fix these issues soon so players can return to the game they’ve stuck with for the past three years.
