Even though streaming is a booming industry full of opportunities, streamers still face plenty of challenges and pressure. One major headache is meeting work volume and quality standards, like hitting streaming hour KPIs and viewer engagement targets. Even top Twitch stars struggle with this.
Recently, Sommerset, a streamer known for Fortnite content, admitted she’s exhausted from trying to stream every day starting at 9 a.m. (sometimes her schedule shifts). Limited rest and less-than-ideal health haven’t helped, and during her streams, she’s been hit with complaints from viewers about not streaming enough hours or not sticking to her announced schedule.

Frustrated and with tears in her eyes, Sommerset shared, “When I first started streaming, I was grinding insanely hard. Streaming was all I did at home. I even streamed for hours on end. But now, I feel like I need to slow down a bit.”
She also vented about viewers constantly bringing up her “skipping streams” or not going live on time: “Regardless, I’m still streaming and trying to go live every day, even if it’s not how you want. If you can’t respect that, then I don’t want you here.”

After that, Sommerset went back to grinding ranked matches in Fortnite, ignoring the negative feedback. She then surprised viewers by ending the stream abruptly.
