MrBeast is a YouTuber Forbes named among the top earners of 2020, making as much as Hollywood star Vin Diesel (Fast and Furious) and F1 champ Lewis Hamilton that year. Known for his unique and never-before-seen videos, to celebrate his 26th birthday, he came up with another bold idea. Specifically, he’s giving away 25 Tesla Model 3 cars plus a grand prize of a Cybertruck pickup (or the cash equivalent) to random lucky winners worldwide.
To enter, viewers just need to comment on MrBeast’s Instagram video announcing the event and tag two friends. Winners will be randomly picked from the comments. The giveaway isn’t limited to the US, winners can come from countries across continents like Australia, Chile, France, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, or the UK, as long as they’re over 18. The prizes will be awarded on May 10. If winners don’t want the car, they can take the cash instead: $39,000 (about 991.8 million VND) for the Model 3 and $120,000 (around 3.05 billion VND) for the Cybertruck.
This isn’t the first time MrBeast has shocked fans with his generosity. One of his most famous series that built his YouTube fame was giving money to strangers, spending over $1 million in just one year (2017, 2018). To this day, every video on MrBeast’s channel involves huge budgets for production.
Meanwhile, Khoa Pug is known as Vietnam’s richest YouTuber thanks to his luxury experience videos. Recently, he splurged billions of VND to conquer the world’s highest mountain. The Everest climbing permit alone cost $40,000 (over 1 billion VND) from the Nepalese government, plus a helicopter flight at 40 million VND per person. Since Khoa Pug brought a cameraman, the costs doubled, not counting food and lodging. They also had to stay in Nepal for a week waiting for their flight schedule.
However, worried about his health, the YouTuber decided not to summit Everest. After breakfast at Base Camp, he rested before taking a helicopter back. Khoa Pug also revealed plans to make videos reviewing the moon and Mars because “life on Earth feels too boring for me now.”
