Gamer Sets New Steam Account Level Record
Recently, a new record for Steam account level was set by a player known as Stasik. He is reportedly from the United Arab Emirates, though this hasn’t been confirmed. With a current level of 5900, estimates say he spent around $500,000 (over 12 billion VND) to reach this staggering milestone.
For regular Steam players, leveling up means playing games and unlocking badges. But some wealthy gamers take a shortcut by buying badges directly from the Steam marketplace. This has sparked a secret competition among rich players willing to spend big just to own a “powerful” account. So while this trend isn’t unusual, Stasik’s massive spending definitely stands out.
Previously, ST4CK, a famous CS:GO skin collector, held the highest Steam level record at over 5000, spending about $50,000 (1.2 billion VND).
According to popular streamer ohnePixel, Stasik’s account also boasts a pricey CS2 skin collection with rare items like AWP Dragon Lores and M4A4 Howls, each worth tens of thousands of dollars. However, ohnePixel also spotted some stickers in Stasik’s inventory that violate Steam’s rules. This could put the account at risk of a permanent ban. If that happens, the gamer could lose everything.
