On November 10, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit (PC04) is investigating Nguyen Thi An, known as model and actress Andrea Aybar or An Tay, born in 1995, along with several others suspected of organizing drug use.
Earlier, on the afternoon of November 9, police raided a luxury apartment in Thu Duc City and found Andrea Aybar with some friends showing signs of drug use.
Tests confirmed Andrea Aybar tested positive for drugs. Authorities are expanding the investigation but have not yet released any details on the case outcome.
Andrea Aybar holds Spanish citizenship and has lived in Vietnam since childhood. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Between 2012 and 2014, she was a rising face in Northern Vietnam’s modeling scene and appeared in films like The Prince and Cinderella and Let’s Get Married 2.
