Recently, Louis Phạm (real name Phạm Như Phương, born 2003) caught attention by livestreaming again on TikTok. Her live broadcast stood out as it marked the first time the 21-year-old influencer returned to livestreaming after the “donation cover-up” controversy during Typhoon Yagi back in September.

This move attracted thousands of viewers. However, instead of excitement, many netizens flooded the livestream with comments saying “phông bạt” (meaning “cover-up”). Seeing the comments, Louis Phạm showed a forced smile, brushing it off and continuing her stream.
“Surprised she’s back livestreaming so soon,” “All I see in the comments is ‘phông bạt’,” “How is she so calm about it?” were some of the reactions from viewers.

Louis Phạm livestreamed on her personal TikTok channel with 1.1 million followers. She is currently traveling in Thailand with her boyfriend Paul Lê. The stream mostly showed her sitting at a busy market, occasionally interacting with locals and curious kids, while reading comments without responding.
Over the past month, Louis Phạm has been more active on social media, sharing daily photos, attending weddings, playing golf and pickleball, and now traveling in Thailand with her boyfriend. However, she hasn’t received the same warm reception from netizens as before.

For example, she sparked debate by posting overly intimate photos and videos with her boyfriend at someone else’s wedding. Many netizens called her tasteless and insensitive. Her sexy fashion choices, sometimes inappropriate for the occasion, also fueled criticism.
Louis Phạm also cut her hair short after the personal controversies. Her looks and style haven’t changed much compared to before. Many believe she’s quickly moving on and gradually returning to the spotlight.

Since early 2024, Louis Phạm has been caught up in multiple scandals online. In late September, netizens accused her of covering up donation amounts for typhoon relief. She shared screenshots of transfers to the Vietnam Fatherland Front with long strings of zeros hidden, leading many to believe she donated hundreds of millions of dong. When the organization released official records, the actual amounts matched much smaller sums: 500,000 VND, 10,000 VND, and 1 million VND.
She later admitted and apologized, saying she intentionally hid the donation amounts to manipulate public opinion. Recognizing her mistake, Louis Phạm promised to reflect seriously and never repeat such shameful behavior.
Previously, she also faced backlash over a politically controversial photo, accusations of faking social media posts, borrowing bank balance screenshots to flex, and showing off luxury items.
Following these dramas, she went quiet on social media for about a month before slowly returning with posts about charity work, travel, and sports with her boyfriend. Most of her posts still receive mostly negative reactions and mixed comments.
