Social media and forums have been flooded with reports about An Tây being detained for investigation on charges of illegal drug possession and organizing illegal drug use. She admitted to the offenses and acknowledged that this mistake cost her career.
Most recently, An Tây’s brother, Rufino Aybar (better known as Tây Ba Lô), officially spoke out, apologizing to the public after the unwanted drama involving his sister.
He expressed regret and apologized for the trouble his sister caused. The TikToker also shared how this situation has affected the family’s image and those around them.
“Hello everyone,
As you all know, my family is going through a very difficult time. That’s why I’ve been inactive on social media lately.
Over the past 20 days, our family has received a lot of support and encouragement, especially after An Tây’s video acknowledging her mistakes. Your support has been a huge motivation for us to stay strong and steady through this.
I want to apologize once again on behalf of An Tây to everyone. This was a serious mistake that disappointed those who have loved and supported her and our family. During the investigation and before the official conclusion, I hope everyone can objectively consider the responsibilities of each individual involved, including my father and me.”
An Tây’s brother shared that while criticism toward his sister is unavoidable, he believes everyone deserves a chance to make amends and improve. He urged people to judge the individuals involved fairly and not be too harsh or negative toward him and their father.
Finally, Rufino Tây Ba Lô said he is ready to return to activity, look forward, and try to get back to normal. “I hope the fair-minded fans who care about my father and me will continue to support and stand by us in the coming time.
