Livestream Dating
Seeing their daughter Lý was of marriageable age but not interested in dating, her parents decided to take matters into their own hands. They went live on a stream to find a suitable partner for her. A man named Vương appeared as a promising candidate.
During the livestream, Vương shared details about his job and family background, which Lý’s parents approved. Afterward, both sides connected on social media to get to know each other better, hoping to marry if things went well.

Over three months of getting to know each other, Vương frequently sent gifts to Lý and carefully prepared for holidays. Since they were in a long-distance relationship, he showed care by ordering food and rides whenever she traveled. Counting all expenses, Vương said he sent her a total of 11,942.89 yuan (around 50 million VND). On a family trip with Lý’s side, he spent another 9,067 yuan (about 31 million VND). He also gifted her an iPhone 15 worth roughly 28 million VND.
The Turning Point
However, after three months, Lý disappointed Vương by not publicly acknowledging their relationship to friends. When he confronted her, she denied being in a romantic relationship. Feeling let down, Vương immediately proposed breaking up and asked Lý to return all the money he had spent along with the iPhone 15.

Although all expenses were voluntarily given by Vương, after mediation, Lý agreed to return 8,500 yuan (nearly 30 million VND) and the iPhone 15.
